Central North Island Region
Central North Island Region includes the following: Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo, Tokoroa, Thames and Whakatane.
This area is quite an extensive area in that it encompasses a number of towns to support the one group. There is some traveling involved for most meetings for the majority of the 52 members.
There are four meetings per year, with each area taking a turn in hosting and providing a guest speaker for the educational sessions. The educational sessions over the last few sessions have been on orthopaedic topics and legal considerations.
At the conclusion of each meeting there is always a time for discussion and networking of day to day concerns and achievements from each of the represented hospitals.
